Summer Cheers

My mom found 2 new challenges for me to enter and I LOVE making cards for challenges. The first one is called "Dreaming of a Summer Day" at The Stamping Boutique. If you use the freebie they chose they will email you another - so fun! The second one is a layers challenge at Iris's Spot. I have 4 layers! Today is my first day of summer vacation. It is VERY hot here today so I thought I would cool off inside and make this card.

Here is another teacher thank - you card. I used the new french tags I got from Whimsy Stamps and the old papers and ribbon that I got at a garage sale. With that being said I am entering my card in the Something Old, Something New! challenge at Totally Stampalicious. I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday and am entering this week's challenge #160. Pour Vous!

I'm getting into making our "end of the year" teacher thank - you cards. My daughters are having some friends over tomorrow so I have prepped some card making supplies for them. Including this card as a template. I used the sketch and am entering the challenge this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I am also using this card as my 2nd entry for Totally Stampalicious Anything Goes.

Berry Best Dad

As usual I was checking the Free Digital Stamps website when I found this super cute berry stamp from Digi My World. Well when I download these digis I envision the card I want to make so I had to make yet another Father's Day Card. Which turned out to be a good thing cause there are a lot of Father's Day/Masculine challenges right now.

World`s Greatest Dad

Guess what?! My dad is the greatest! Since Father`s Day is this weekend I made him this card. He loves basketball and golf and he coaches soccer so I thought a ball card would be right up his alley. I wrote him a poem and put a surprise in the fun pocket that slide in and out. I am entering my card as a second entry at Kona Kid`s Krafters and Stitchy Bear Kids - Anything Goes.

My Dad is a Rockstar

My dad plays the guitar. I love when he plays his music. Sometime I sing along. I made this card for him for Father's Day. I love adding glitter to my cards. My mom went to a card making evening and she learned how to make these neat cards where there is a pocket and a piece of paper slides in and out. I really wanted to try making one of those kind of card so here it is! I am entering it the following challenges: Kona Kid`s Krafters (2nd entry -Anything Goes) and Stichy Bear Kids (2nd entry - Anything Goes).

Ahoy!

Here is my 3rd and final entry for Catch the Bug Anything Goes Challenge. I had to make this one a Bugaboo image! Got this great Pirate Monkey from Bugaboo and the Ahoy sentiment as a freebie from Meljens . I was inspired by a card I saw when checking out the DT at Catch the Bug....actually Tammy Miller the DT coordinator for this challenge! I made this card with one of my many pirate loving nephews in mind (I have 8 nephews BTW). I am also entering my card in Cute Card Thursday.....where Challenge 167 is Embellish It! TFL!

I have been in a card making mood lately! Decided I might as well make it worth my while and give myself a chance to win some awesome prizes at the various challenges. This card is for my niece who will be baptized on June 25th. I got this praying angel as a freebie, although I can't remember where. I often consult the Free Digital Stamps website - thanks so much to those who work so hard to find and post those free digis in one place! I am entering it as my 2nd entry in the Catch The Bug Challenge (Anything Goes) and Sketch Saturday, where  predesigned sketches sure make card making easier : )

First Communion Card

Sunday was my sister's first communion. My mom found this awesome first communion digi stamp and I had already coloured this pretty girl with flowers (a BUGABOO image), so I put them together to make a card for my sister. I added some jewels we just got from Dollarama and a love sentiment inside, to which I added glitter!!!!!! I am entering my card in the Sparkle and Shine Challenge at Messy's Mini Missions.

My mother in law got us some papers, markers and other card making goodies at a garage sale this weekend. It was super nice of her to think of us! I was definitely ready to get to work using my new supplies Monday morning. I often look to other blogs or past sketch challenges for a card design. Since I visit these sites so often I decided to just go ahead and enter a challenge. TiddlyInks is the sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday so I used the freebie I got here this week to complete the sketch. I am also entering my card in the Catch the Bug Challenge where Anything Goes.

Happy Birthday Little Lady

I made this card especially for the Insects challenge at Children's Challenge Corner. I especially wanted to enter this challenge because I got to choose it since I won the Favourite Thing To Do In Spring challenge. I really like ladybugs so I was happy to find this one as a freebie (you can get it HERE). I had just gotten this awesome sparkly paper from Michael's so I am also entering it in the Sparkle and Shine challenge at Messy's Mini Mission.  Finally I am entering it at the Anything Goes challenges at Stitchy Bear Kids and Kona Kid's Krafters.

Beautiful Butterfly

I like butterflies a lot! They are my favourite insect. I especially like monarch butterflies. I got some new sparkly orange paper at Michael's and I could not wait to use it. This is one of my favourite cards that I have made so far. Another Father's Day Card

I have created another Father's Day card! I think we have made 4 so far in our household, so we will have many choices as to which one we will give to my husband (DAD) and dads (GRANDPAS). I am entering my card in the Father's Day or Man's card Challenge at Lexi's Creations. I made the mistake of colouring my digi (a freebie from Bird's Cards) and stamping/punching out the letters before choosing my paper. Luckily I found something that matched.
