Happy Birthday to You!

The other day we took my sister to her friend's house. Her mom is the one who got our family into card making and she still borrows us some of her supplies. While we were there she gave me a page of digis and this cool grass to use on a card! This cute donkey was my favourite. It is a Meljens image. I used blue paper to look like sky. O Christmas Tree

One last Christmas in July mini challenge at Catch the Bug and it is Anything Goes. My daughter coloured this image awhile back, so this card is a combined effort! The polka dot Christmas tree is from The Crafty Nomad - they sure have some nice Christmas digis and sentiments. My sentiment is from SU. Meet Winter William. He is a freebie I picked up at Pink Gem Designs. The sentiment is yet another one from The Crafty Nomad (also a freebie). Christmas Sketch Challenge

I love a good sketch challenge! This one is part of the daily Christmas in July festivities at Catch the Bug. I used this cute Polly Penguin digi from the DigiStamp Boutique.  I am entering it in the Glitter challenge at Sew Many Challenge since I used some glitter for the snow and the ornament. We sure like using buttons on our cards at our house....so much so that they are now all over the living room - thanks to one of my twin 4 year old monkeys!!!! I will also enter my card at :

10th Anniversary Card

Our tenth anniversary is this Thursday. Looking forward to our date night : ) In the meantime, I took a break from making Christmas card and chose this great digi I got from one of my most favourite sites - Melonheadz to make my hubby a card. Holy Family

A while back I decided to try out my "new" (bought secondhand) Holy Family SU stamp set and then I thought maybe it is a good idea to get a head start on Christmas cards and then I realized that all card makers do that and now Catch the Bug is having a CHRISTMAS IN JULY bloghop and daily challenges, so......I decided to use this one for the non traditional colours challenge. Fun in the Sun #2

Here is my card for the "Fun in the Sun" challenge at Messy's Mini Missions and "Dreaming of a Sunny Day" challenge at The Latte Lounge. I love to eat ice cream on a hot summer day so I used an ice cream digi. I used these flower embellisments and flower paper cause I help my mom and grandma water flowers in their gardens. Stay cool cause it is super hot here!

As soon as Messy's Mini Missions posted their July challenge "Fun in the Sun" I got to work on this card. I definitely think flip flops go with summer fun. I've been wearing mine all summer - riding bikes, at the lake, at the beach, by the pool. I am also entering my card in the July challenge at the Latte Lounge "Dreaming of a Sunny Day". More BUGABOO!

Yet another Bugaboo image! My daughters have been making a lot of summer-ish cards so I thought I would join them. I chose a lot of bright summer colours and got to use my new copic markers ; ) Finished this one just in time to enter it as my 3rd entry at Catch the Bug Anything Goes this week.

I've been using a lot of my BUGABOO images lately. That site has such cute stuff! I sure like this clown I got as a freebie. FYI they offer a new freebie every Friday. I am entering my card in the following challenges: Catch the Bug Anything Goes (2nd entry), Sketch Saturday Week 162 and Sentimental Sundays Anything Goes with a sentiment.

Hooray!

I often look to other blogs for design inspiration and found an interesting sketch on Meljens Designs Blog that I had to try. Of course as soon as I start card making, my 2 daughters want to join me. So I suggested we make the exact same card....which makes things a lot easier. One of them agreed, however, we both used different colours and papers. We used an image I bought from Bugaboo a while back (you can get it HERE) that I thought would go perfectly with a freebie of Meljen's. I am entering my card in the following 2 challenges:  Catch the Bug - Anything Goes and Meljen's Design Challenge #65.

Have a beautiful summer

I made this card Thursday. It was my first day of summer vacation. I am done Kindergarden and I am going to go to grade 1 soon. My mom got me a new picture of a fairy. I used different kinds of paper which I chose all by myself. My card has a person sitting on a blanket at the beach. I am going to enter it in the following challenges:
