Beary Bee Flower

Here is my final entry in the Simon Says Stamp Children's Challenge. I used a Bugaboo image. It was a freebie a few weeks ago.  Turns out I glued the papers on backwards so the card opens the opposite way. I guess sometimes I work too fast ; ) I just love card making!!!

Unicorn Love

Another one of my favourite Melonheadz digis. I love to dress up and thought what an awesome costume a unicorn would be. I chose bright colours AGAIN and am entering Simon Says Stamp Children's Challenge AGAIN. : ) P.K.

Pogo Stick Girl

I had my mom print off a whole bunch of MelonHeadz digis and I got to work on card making. I sure like this pogo stick girl. My mom had coloured the HI sentiment (from Meljen's Designs) but never ended up using it so I did. I love bright coloured markers and papers. My sister got this ribbon on one of her birthday presents and we thought it would be perfect to add to our card making stash. I am entering my card at Simon Says Stamp Children's Challenge. I am so happy you can enter as many times as you want cause this is my 5th entry! : ) P.K.

Welcome Baby

Here is a baby card I made using a Bugaboo image. I got it as a freebie (surprise, surprise). They have an awesome freebie every Friday and the images are so cute and easy to colour! There is also a sale going on right now until Aug. 26th as well as a Deal of the Day and Dollar Digis. Check it out HERE.  I never know what to do with parts of the image that should be white so I added glitter for the clouds and left the stork and diaper uncoloured. I am entering my card in these challenges: Summer is for the Birds and the Bees at Catch the Bug, Sparkle Shine and Glitter at Meljens Designs and Anything Goes at Craft Us Crazy.

Thanks a Buzz!

I feel like a lot of my card working has been for the girls lately. They have joined a design team so we have been busy making some cards for that. Miss E. had her 8th birthday party which included making friendship cards for one another. Besides the fact that anytime I get started on a card, they wander into the craft room and ask to make one.
The other night while the kiddos watched a video I got to work on this card. I wanted to enter Catch the Bug's Summer is for the Birds and the Bees challenge and remembered a freebie I got at Dustin Pike's blog awhile back....so I checked out Pike's Playground where the challenge was Button it!....I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday and finally stumbled across a sparkle, shine and glitter challenge at Meljens Design Challenge Blog. Those are the challenges I have entered with this buzzy bee thank - you card : )

Back to School

Pretty soon we will be going  'back to school'! That is the card challenge right now at The Crafter's Cafe. I used the freebie on their site. I might give this card to my new teacher as a welcome back, but he is a boy and I don't know if boys really like cards as much as girls. I am also entering my card at Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Kid's Challenge. It is my 4th entry. Thanks for looking : ) P.K.

Happy Birthday 2 U

Happy Birthday 2 U....well Happy Birthday to my brother. I made this card for him. My daughter's bday is the same as his so I will definitely be posting a card for her soon : ) As you may have noticed me and my daughter's make a lot of bday cards for relatives....we have a pretty big family. Anyhow back to the card. I got this Happy Lion from KennyK downloads and just happened to use a lot of orange and yellow to colour and decorate it. So I am entering my card in a monochromatic challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges and at Craft Us Crazy Anything Goes (2nd entry).

Surfin' with Connor the Crocodile

As I upload this card, I realize I definitely need help with my picture taking skills!!! Any tips for me go ahead and leave 'em - LOL.  This card is for my nephew's birthday. Connor the crocodile is a freebie I got at Altered Scrap.  This is the perfect stamp for my nephew cause he loves the water and literally lives at the beach. I am entering my card at Sketch Saturday Week #167 and Craft Us Crazy Anything Goes. Now off to the lake for a PARTY!!!

Meet Thomas. He is a freebie at Michelle Perkett's Studio.  I think he is going to Kindergarten just like my cousin. I made this card for him. I am going to Grade 1 this year, but I sure enjoyed my first year of school and I hope my cousin will too. I am entering my card at the Children's Challenges at the Latte Lounge and Simon Says Stamp.  : ) P.K.

Wishing you Joy this Christmas

I wanted to get one more entry in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Christmas in August so here it is. I made this one a while back, but need to get moving and make a lot more Christmas cards in order to actually give everyone a handmade card this year. The image and sentiment are freebies from The Crafty Nomad....I have gotten such good use of her stuff! Thanks for looking : )

Pirate Bear

I made this card for my cousin's birthday. He will be 3 in September. He loves pirates and always says "Argh" just like a pirate. I designed this card and did all the cutting and colouring by myself! I am entering my card at Simon Says Stamp Children's Challenge. Thanks for looking "me hearties"! : ) P.K.

Thanks for looking and leave me a comment cause I love to hear what you have to say.

O Holy Night

First there was Christmas in July at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog and now it is Christmas in August at Simon Says Stamp.  I definitely look for inexpensive ways to make cards. I got some ribbons at a thrift shop, papers at a garage sale and mostly buy 2nd hand stamps. Love this image of baby Jesus (from a SU set full of Christmas images.....I never know the names of these sets) cause that is what Christmas is all about : )
